COLLECTION 2: BORN FOR THE STRUGGLE

Bachar Collection 2 is credited to the cultural aesthetic of the Jamaican heritage with interpretation, derived from the strength and creativity flourishing not only from its people—but also of ideas. The purest imagery is an old photograph of an elder, a great grandfather, in all black standing in Kingston, leaning against a record player, with a photo of himself resting on the record player. Perhaps juxtaposed with a colorful legacy he could see lending down four generations.

This collection celebrates the color palette of trailblazers from the shanties where struggle facilitated the invention of a new reality. The coalescence of diverse realities, though tattered and worn, created the fabric of resilience- we are born for the struggle.
